For Act 60, do you have to apply within your 1st year of PR residency?

A friend just told me you have to apply for Act 60 within your first year of establishing residency. I’ve never heard that before. Am I screwed?

no, you can apply after you establish residency or even before, as long as you were not a PR resident in the years 2009-2018

important that you also consider the effectiveness of the act 60 itself, if its an investors it can only go back (effectiveness I mean) to the beginning of that year you apply for the tax grant, not before. If its an export service ta grant the effectiveness will be the day you submitted the application.
